Creating an online remote exam using Minerva may be the easiest alternative to an existing paper exam. You have two options for creating timed exams in Minerva.
Open book test
Minerva Tests can be used to deliver both flexible and timed tests to students.
You can set up a series of questions (multiple choice, multiple answer, short answer) which can be released at a particular time so that students can take the test during the available window.
Note that Tests should not be used for essay style questions because if students do not interact with the test for more than 60 minutes, their session will time out and answers may be lost. Essay style questions should be set up as an assignment.
